The Delmicure VHP-1303 has two listening modes and eight volume levels, controlled directly on the hearing aid. One detail is easy to overlook: it returns to Mode 1 each time you switch it on. If you prefer Mode 2, select it again after restarting.
This guide brings together the main control, fitting and care points for Blue, Beige and Gold VHP-1303 hearing aids. The controls are the same across the colors. In a Pair package, each hearing aid is adjusted individually.
What is the difference between Mode 1 and Mode 2?
| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Mode 1 | Emphasizes lower frequencies. This is the starting mode each time the hearing aid is switched on. |
| Mode 2 | Emphasizes higher frequencies. Use the mode button to select it again after a restart if this is your preferred mode. |
| Volume | Adjusts the level through eight available settings. Volume is a separate control from listening mode. |
Mode and volume answer different questions: the mode changes the frequency emphasis, while the volume setting changes the sound level. When comparing modes, start with a comfortable low volume and change one setting at a time. This makes it easier to notice which change you made.
Use the supplied manual for the exact button operation. This guide does not replace the instructions that came with your device.
Before the first listening session
- Read the manual and follow its charging instructions. The package includes a USB charging cable.
- Select a comfortable ear dome. Replacement domes are included so you can check the fit.
- Switch the hearing aid off before fitting it. The main body rests behind the ear and the dome sits in the ear.
- Begin with a low volume. Once the hearing aid is fitted and switched on, increase the volume gradually to a comfortable level.
- Check the listening mode. It starts in Mode 1. Select Mode 2 again if that is the setting you prefer.
If you have a Pair package, check each hearing aid separately. Do not assume that adjusting the mode or volume on one unit also changes the other.
What to check if you hear whistling
The fit of the ear dome and the volume setting are useful first checks. Reduce the volume, switch the hearing aid off and check that the dome is positioned comfortably and securely. A gap around the dome can contribute to whistling.
After checking the fit, switch the hearing aid on at a low volume and increase gradually. If whistling continues, contact our team for product support rather than repeatedly increasing the volume.
Charging and everyday care
- Use the supplied USB charging cable and follow the manual's charging instructions, including how to recognize the charging status.
- Keep the hearing aid dry. Use the supplied cleaning brush as directed in the instructions.
- Check the dome before fitting. Make sure it is secure and comfortable, especially after cleaning or replacing it.
- Keep the manual with the accessories. It is the reference for the device's button operation and charging procedure.
For a question about charging indicators or a step in the manual, email info@delmicure.com with the model name and a description of what you see. That gives our team a clearer starting point than a general report that the hearing aid is not working.
Quick answers for everyday use
Why does it sound different after I turn it back on?
Check the mode first. The VHP-1303 restarts in Mode 1, so select Mode 2 again if that was your previous preference. Then check that the volume is comfortable.
Does the Blue version have different controls?
No. Blue, Beige and Gold share the same two listening modes and eight volume levels. Color does not change the control layout or the listed features.
Are the settings on a Pair adjusted together?
Each hearing aid has its own controls. Check and adjust the mode and volume on each unit individually.
Where can I compare the available packages?
Our VHP-1303 Single, Pair and color guide explains the contents of all six options. You can also view the Blue Single (1 Hearing Aid), the Blue Pair (2 Hearing Aids) or the complete VHP-1303 collection.
