Hearing Test questions
What can this test tell me?
This test records repeatable sound responses on your current device and headphones. The graph uses relative output, not calibrated dB HL, so it cannot grade hearing loss. Headphone fit, device settings and room noise affect the results.
What do I need before starting?
Use stereo headphones in a quiet place. Keep a low, comfortable volume unchanged and stop if a sound feels uncomfortable.
How are products suggested?
Product options use your shopping preferences. Hearing-based fitting requires validated hearing results and verified product fitting data. Neither is available in this test, so these are feature matches.
When should I skip the hearing test?
Sudden or rapidly worsening hearing needs urgent medical attention. For ear pain, discharge, one-sided symptoms or dizziness, seek medical advice before using this test.
Prepare
Get your headphones ready.
For adults 18+. Use stereo headphones in a quiet place, without hearing aids.
If the channel sounds do not work correctly, check your connection or skip the sounds. Do not turn the volume to maximum.
A quick practice
Find out how the test works.
Play the tone in your left ear and try the answer buttons. Quiet tones are expected; keep your device volume unchanged.
Did you hear a tone?
Listen, then answer. The tone level adjusts to your responses. Some presentations are silent.

Frequency response profile
Relative resultEach point marks a repeatable response on this setup. Zero is the reference output used during setup; negative values are quieter outputs. These are not clinical hearing levels.
Swipe the chart horizontally to see all frequencies.
An upward arrow means at or below the quietest output. A downward arrow means no response at the highest output. Gaps mean a level was not established.

How was this profile measured?
The search moves down by 10 relative dB after a heard response and up by 5 after a missed response. Confirmation requires heard responses in at least two of the latest three ascending trials at the same level. The test repeats 1 kHz in each ear and includes silent trials. No calibrated device profiles are active. Results apply only to this setup; repeatability does not establish accuracy or normal hearing.
